EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES OFFERED BY IPFCC

IPFCC is offering webinars on ‘hot topics!’

December 2016

HIPAA and Patient- and Family-Centered Care

(Faculty: Lindsay Lang) Wednesday, December 7, 2016

Many health care providers believe that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) presents a barrier to the practice of patient- and family-centered care. When interpreted correctly, however, the regulations actually provide new opportunities for collaboration rather than limiting them. Join this webinar to learn more about how HIPAA can facilitate health care professionals working in partnership with patients and families.

Improving Patient and Family Engagement in Mental Health Settings

(Faculty: Mary Minniti and Patty Yoon) Thursday, December 8, 2016

This webinar will highlight how to implement patient- and family-centered care in various mental health settings. Ways to engage individuals in the direct care experience and as quality improvement partners will be showcased. Practical tools and tips that help build strong partnerships with those receiving mental health services and their families will be shared.

IPFCC offers educational webinars on ‘hot topics’ to advance the practice of patient- and family-centered care. Webinars include presentations by IPFCC faculty members and nationally recognized experts, with the opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss the topic.

Handouts and supplemental resources are included with registration. Invite your colleagues to join you on a webinar—you may have as many people in the room with you as you like for just one registration price. Pinwheel Sponsors, be sure to call IPFCC to receive your webinar discount.
